Tui appoints new UK and Ireland retail head

Tui UK and Ireland has appointed a new retail director to lead its 600-strong retail network.

Mark Bather replaces former UK retail boss Jill Carter who moved within the company to become director of customer delivery at Thomson Airways.

Bather joins from O2 where he was most recently in charge of customer experience across the phone giant’s 474 stores.

He will work with divisional sales managers Stephen Bracegirdle and Michelle Baillie (nee McMenamin) and will report into Helen Caron, who recently took on the expanded role of director of cruise and distribution.

Speaking about the appointment, Caron said: “I’m thrilled that we’ve appointed Mark Bather as our new retail director. He joins us with a wealth of experience from his time with Tesco and Telefonica and we’re looking forward to his arrival.”
