Serviced apartments in London are becoming commissionable to agents through a distribution deal with Superbreak.

The short breaks operator is adding more than 700 apartments run by Marlin Apartments at six locations in the capital.

The apartments are located at London Bridge, Docklands, Canary Wharf, St Paul’s, Tower Bridge and Stratford, offering free Wi-Fi and a 24/7 concierge service.

SuperBreak head of product and purchasing for London, Neil Beard, said: “We have a mix of customers and there will definitely be those who will prefer the added flexibility a self-catering apartment offers, especially families looking for bigger style accommodation.”

Marlin Apartments managing director, Susan Cully, said: “We are delighted to have established the partnership with SuperBreak.

“Marlin has recorded a year-on-year increase of 18% domestic leisure travellers staying in-house in 2015. As we continue to see a high volume of online bookings from this group coming through in the first quarter, it is a natural move for us to partner with a firm that has extensive experience and knowledge in the UK travel market.

“We trust that the formation of this strategic partnership can help us open the door to a different set of customers and establish a firm footing in the leisure travel market in a long term.”
