Holiday park operator Darwin Escapes has launched a resort just for pets.
The 10-acre Yappy Days Resort & Spa, just outside Bath city centre, will be exclusively for animals – no humans allowed.
It is believed to be the first resort in the world to cater just for animals.
The holiday homes – Barkshire Lodge, Catbury Lodge, the Snuggledale log cabin and Westwoof Lodge – will be created by four leading manufacturers including Prestige and ABI.
The resort will feature a bone-shaped swimming pool and mud Jacuzzi for dogs along with a shake and dry area.
Cats will be able to take advantage of catnip relaxation pods and there will be a bespoke petting service where dogs can enjoy belly rubs and head patting.
‘Leave Me Alone’ sessions for cats will also feature and romantic breaks can be arranged for animal couples.
Jack Russell, head of innovation and park development at Darwin Escapes, said: “We’re delighted to announce that we are developing the UK’s first pet-exclusive holiday destination.
“There is a growing demand for pet-friendly accommodation and we see this as a natural progression of our current offerings throughout the UK.”
