Monarch has agreed to be the preferred short and mid-haul airline partner for golf travel company Golfbreaks.com.
In return, the specialist golf travel company becomes the airline’s golf travel partner.
They will promote flight-inclusive golf holiday packages through a range of marketing and promotional activities, including competition across social media channels to win a four-day golf break to the Algarve.
The agreement means that groups of eight or more will be offered exclusive benefits including £25 deposits to hold flights.
Golfbreaks marketing director, Keith Mitchell, said: “We are delighted to announce the partnership with Monarch and look forward to many more years of success working with them.
Over the past 17 years they have safely flown thousands of Golfbreaks.com customers to and from their golfing holidays and this partnership will enable us to be the complete one-stop shop for golfers, booking golf, accommodation and flights to their favourite destinations across Europe.”
Monarch head of digital and marketing, Ian Chambers, said: “The partnership closely fits our customer profile with many of our customers being keen and regular golfers.
“With the addition of Lisbon to our summer 2016 programme we have added yet another top golfing destination to our already extensive network.
“We offer excellent value and conveniently scheduled flights to some of the most popular golf hotspots, including the Algarve, the Canaries, Turkey and to destinations in mainland Spain such as Alicante, Malaga and Majorca making it easier than ever for our customers to take a break at their favourite golf resorts.”
