Snow disrupts Leeds Bradford flights

Flights from Leeds Bradford airport faced delays this morning as overnight snow hit the region.

Snow ploughs were deployed to clear the runway after snow fell across northern England.

Met Office weather warnings were announced for Northern Ireland, north Wales, northern and western England and Scotland.

More than an inch of snow fell across high ground in northern England in the early hours of this morning.

Leeds Bradford airport said: “Due to adverse weather conditions there may be some disruption to flight services. Please check with your airline for further information.”
