Irene Forte has been confirmed as the guest of honour at the Connections Luxury event being held in Italy in April.
Forte is the brand manager of Rocco Forte Hotels, and the daughter of Sir Rocco Forte, founder and chairman of the renowned hotel group. She will be addressing delegates on the subject of wellbeing.
During her time with the business, Irene Forte has shaped Rocco Forte’s brand standards, and recently launched Rocco Forte Spas and Forte Organics. She has also received government funding to create a careers and development app for the hospitality industry.
Before joining Rocco Forte’s central team, she held roles including communications manager at the company’s Verdura Resort in Sicily, which will be hosting the Connections event.
Micaela Giacobbe, director of commercial events at Connections owner Travel Weekly Group, said: “We are incredibly excited to be able to welcome Irene to our next event. Her list of achievements is considerable, and her experience within the Rocco Forte Hotels group will be fascinating for our Connections guests.
“Wellness and wellbeing are increasingly important aspects of the luxury experience, and Irene’s insight will be invaluable as we welcome leading executives from around the world.”
Forte said: “Today, we are going through what some people call ‘a wellness revolution’, so wellbeing is a fitting theme for this Connections Luxury event.
“Rocco Forte Hotels has recently launched Rocco Forte Spas, bringing together Rocco Forte Nourish, Rocco Forte Fitness, Rocco Forte Rituals and Rocco Forte Health, and with Verdura Spa as our flagship for this concept, it is the perfect location to host this event.”
She added: “We are excited to be able to showcase our homegrown organic produce, sporting activities and spa rituals at what will be a fantastic conference.”
Connections Luxury launched in 2014, with events taking place in the UK, continental Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The events bring together buyers and suppliers of luxury travel from around the world and encourage the development of commercial relationships over unique experience-led programmes.
The forthcoming event in Italy on April 3-6 will be followed by the next in the series in Thailand in June and Brazil in October.
