Theme revealed for Abta Travel Matters conference in London

‘Confidence in a changing world’ is the theme for this year’s annual Abta Travel Matters conference to be held in London on June 22.

The half-day event is expected to attract trade leaders and key government speakers to discuss the geopolitical landscape and how the travel industry is responding.

The agenda will cover current issues facing the industry, including the key issues at play in the EU referendum campaign; Westminster’s response to a changing security landscape; the government’s approach to airport capacity and taxation; and Atol reform.

Abta chief executive, Mark Tanzer, said: “Against a backdrop of global geopolitical change and security challenges, an EU referendum, and significant regulatory reform at home, the year ahead will hold both challenges and opportunities for travel businesses.

“Travel Matters is a great opportunity to bring these topics to the heart of the industry and I look forward to discussing these issues with delegates from across travel, Westminster, the media and beyond.”
