Air France-KLM shakes off impact of Paris attacks

Air France-KLM shook off the impact of strikes and November’s terrorist attacks in Paris to record a rise in passenger carryings last month.

The airline saw passenger numbers in January increase by 2.4% to 5.8 million over the same month last year.

The overall load factor was up by 2.9 percentage points to 85.2%.

The carrier said the “significant increase” in both traffic and load factor came as the result of “strict capacity discipline”.

Selective capacity growth in the Americas region was matched by a strong increase in traffic and load factors, according to Air France-KLM.

The January figures come ahead of full year 2015 results being released on February 18.
