Travelbag boss Carty becomes joint MD of dnata B2C brands

The boss of tailor-made holiday provider Travelbag has been appointed as joint managing director of dnata B2C Europe.

Tony Carty will be responsible for long-haul focused brands, managing Netflights in addition to Travelbag.

He will work alongside Ian Simmonds as a joint managing director, with Simmonds taking responsibility for short-haul focused brands Travel Republic and Sunmaster.

Neale Chinery, currently managing director of operations, is leaving dnata at the end of January to take up a new role in international retail.

Alan Williamson, currently director for Netflights, will report into Carty and assume responsibility for e-Commerce across both brands.

Paul Edwards, managing director of Sunmaster, will continue to report into Simmonds.

Both Simmonds and Carty will report into divisional senior vice president at dnata Travel, Iain Andrew.

Andrew said: “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Neale for the contribution he has made in his time with dnata and welcome Tony into his new role.

“With Ian and Tony leading our consumer brands in Europe I look forward to continuing our stellar growth.”
