Norwegian Cruise Line has promoted Nick Wilkinson to the role of general manager for Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Wilkinson has been with the brand for 13 years and has held a number of roles, most recently director business development.
In his new role, Wilkinson will oversee the UK office in Southampton, reporting into Christian Boell, managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, who is based in Wiesbaden, Germany,
Boell said: “I am delighted to announce the promotion of Nick to general manager Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“Nick has a tremendous amount of experience and has successfully driven the growth of Norwegian, seeing another record breaking year in the UK in 2015. Nick’s new position recognises his role within the company and is integral to our ambitious future plans.”
The line has also promoted Stefanie Hegener to senior director of marketing and PR for EMEA. She joined the line in July 2015 as director of marketing and PR for continental Europe. She will oversee key trade and consumer marketing.
On Stefanie’s promotion, Boell added: “Stefanie has been an asset to Norwegian since joining the team in the summer. As we continue to grow it is important that we have the team in place to drive us forward and Stefanie’s experience and skills are the perfect match.
“We look forward to keeping up the momentum and strengthening our European markets further.”
