Former Cruisingexcursions.com travel trade sales executive, Michelle Burge, has become travel trade training manager for the company.
The move is seen as reinforcing the pre-bookable shore excursions firm’s commitment to the travel industry.
Burge takes on the takes the new role having joined the company from a travel retail background in 2013.
She will be responsible for developing and implementing agent-training, raising awareness of the company’s growing range of offerings, plus trade initiatives and incentives. Training is delivered face-to-face or via webinars.
Cruisingexcursions.com chief operating officer, Simonne Fairbanks, said: “Ninety five per cent of cruisers take at least one excursion and selling excursions can provide agents with very lucrative extra income.
“By appointing a dedicated travel trade training manager we are addressing the growing trade audience who want to maximise the opportunity to earn generous commission selling our excursions.”
