Affordable Car Hire’s managing director, Andrea Kendal, is leaving the business after six months with the business.
Kendal joined Affordable in May having worked at Hays Travel for nine years prior to the move.
In a statement Affordable said Kendal was leaving due to a family bereavement and that there were no immediate plans to replace her.
Angela Day, chief executive of Affordable Car Hire, said: “Andrea has decided that following the death of a close family member she needs to be able to spend more time in the northeast.
“Whilst we are naturally disappointed, we are a tight knit family business and obviously understand the circumstances under which she has decided to leave.
“We would like to place on record our thanks to Andrea for her contribution and support during the short time she has been with the business.”
Kendal said: “Affordable is a fabulous company and I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time working with Angela and the team.
“I am sure the company will continue to go from strength-to-strength and wish them every success for the future.”
