Hoseasons is to recognise the efforts of its top-selling agents with a new award.
Eight agencies have been nominated as Hoseasons Heroes, based on their sales and support over the past 12 months. One of them will be crowned Hoseasons Hero of the Year at a gala dinner at the operator’s annual conference in Brighton next month.
The conference will be Hoseasons’ biggest ever, bringing together 600 property owners and commercial partners.
The new accolade will be handed out during Hoseasons’ Diamond Awards for Customer Service and Excellence for its lodges, parks and boats.
This year’s event will be attended for the first time by the parent company’s most senior executive, Wyndham Worldwide chairman and chief executive Stephen Holmes.
The shortlisted agencies for the Hoseasons Hero award are: Travel Counsellors; Midcounties Personal Travel Agents; Gin’s Viva Deals (part of Hays Personal Travel Consultants), Sheffield; Travel by Inspire, Bramhall, Cheshire; Love2Shop Holidays, Birkenhead; Discover Holidays, Dukinfield, Cheshire: Thomas Cook, Blackwood, south Wales; and Tui Superstore, Hull.
The trade accounts for a third of Hoseasons sales.
Managing director Simon Altham said there was potential to expand trade sales.
“I would like to think that this award will inspire more agents to sell more of our holidays,” he said.
“There is still a huge opportunity for agents to grow that business, especially as we have moved into the more luxury end of the self-catering market.”
