Tui UK and Ireland has announced that two new members have joined the board with immediate effect.

Digital director Jeremy Osborne (pictured) has been appointed to the Board of Strategic Innovation and Business Change, a newly-created function designed to drive strategy and manage all business change activity.

Osborne will also lead the business-wide innovation programme within the newly formed TraveLab, implementing ideas to enhance the customer experience through technology, process and service.

Meanwhile, Helen Caron, managing director of Thomson Cruise, has taken a position on the UK board. She will continue to drive the cruise strategy forward, focusing on improving product and customer experience.

The launch of Discovery, the newest addition to the Thomson Cruise fleet will also form part of Caron’s primary focus.

Nick Longman, managing director, Tui UK and Ireland, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jeremy and Helen to the UK Board. They bring a huge amount of expertise and experience to the business and, alongside my other Board members, are fundamental in delivering a best in class offering for our customers.

“The introduction of the TraveLab innovation programme is a very exciting step on our journey; it will allow us to continually drive the business forward in an increasingly technologically driven world.

“I’m confident that these changes will improve both strategic focus and operational delivery, which will provide our customers with an even better holiday experience”
