Thomas Cook has extended its partnership with Brand USA for a third time with a further multi-million dollar investment.
The campaign to promote travel to the United States will run in eight source markets – the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria and Sweden – until February 2016.
USA destination tourism boards will have the opportunity to participate and promote their interests.
The ‘Discover America’ initiative aims to raise awareness of travel to the USA by highlighting the experiences available.
The announcement coincides with Thomas Cook Airlines’ launch of five direct flights to the United States from various regional UK airports including Manchester, Glasgow and Stansted, flying to Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, Boston, Miami, and Los Angeles on a fleet of newly refurbished Airbus A330s.
Stuart Adamson, Thomas Cook Media and Partnerships, said: “As the USA continues to grow in importance for us as a destination the exposure this campaign will bring will also support sales of our new and existing airline routes from the UK to the USA.
“We are delighted to have extended our partnership with Brand USA for a third time and are confident that this collaboration will continue to generate interest, awareness and sales.”
Brand USA chief marketing officer, David Whitaker, said: “We are confident that our renewed collaboration will provide a successful vehicle to re-enforce Brand USA’s efforts to increase awareness of all that the USA has to offer as a travel destination.
“This partnership will allow us to engage the European market to not only consider visiting the USA but also to book through a trusted and established operator.”
