Idle Travel owner tells how he ‘rediscovered his mojo’

Revitalising his business enabled Idle Travel owner Tony Mann to “rediscover his mojo” and see like-for-like sales since November jump 23%.

His average selling price also went up and he has started attracting younger customers.

Speaking at the Advantage Travel Partnership conference in Bodrum, Turkey, Mann told his story of having his shop transferred to a Portacabin in a car park.

He said having made the best of it he then approached Advantage to use its business consultancy services which helped him to reassess his whole business.

Idle Travel then set up a new shop within the Morrisons store in 2014 with a totally new design.

Mann said the process had given him and the whole team new meaning and a renewed energy.
