Virgin Cruises has appointed cruise industry veteran Stuart Hawkins as senior vice president in charge of new builds.
Hawkins will lead the new build team having previously worked for Princess Cruises where he managed the design, construction and delivery of new vessels Royal Princess and Regal Princess.
He was also involved with the design of Cunard’s Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.
Tom McAlpin, president and chief executive of Virgin Cruises, said: “I’m thrilled that Stuart has joined Virgin Cruises to lead our newbuild team.
“Given his extensive experience and customer focus, Stuart is uniquely qualified to help us deliver on our promise to create breathtaking experiences for our cruise guests.”
