OPERATORS can promote their products to trainee travel agents under new sponsorship deals with the Travel Training Company.
Companies which sponsor an industry training day are being given a 2hr slot to educate travel agents on theirproducts.
Wallace Arnold, Travelscene and Sandals have already taken advantage of the offer which gives them access to 2,000 trainees who study on the programme each year.
TTC marketing executive Delia Howes said it was very important to work on developing close relationships with suppliers.
“This relationship has in turn led to interest from suppliers in getting in front of programme participants, hence why we have introduced sponsorship opportunities,” he said.
The company held a canal cruise recently for sponsors who have already pledged to support the venture.
n TTC has acquired Midlands-based Career Dynamics for £600,000.
The purchase of the retail, hospitality and distribution sector training provider means the TTC will handle the account to train staff from Paramount Hotels.
Career Dynamics 20 training advisers have been retained which will boost staff to 100, operating regionally and from the TTC’s Woking headquarters.
