BASSHotels and Resorts has created one global sales team to deal with all its brands.
Former vice-president sales planning and development for Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts Michael Prager will become senior vice-president sales and revenue planning for Bass and will head up the new team.
Bass’ brands include Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Inter-Continental.
Prager said: “We wanted to create a one-stop shop for the trade. We have been using different chain codes for different brands on the global distribution systems but it is much easier for everyone if they just access one.”
Prager’s team includes three regional sales vice-presidents. Former Bass director of corporate and agency sales for Europe Ann Shutte takes on the role of vice-president of regional sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Former Intercontinental area vice-president of sales for the Americas Allan Kane has been appointed vice-president of regional sales for the Americas and Kevin Croley has been named Bass vice-president of regional sales for Asia Pacific.
