Worldspan criticises design of

WORLDSPAN has criticised the Internet site for launching before being properly designed.

Deckchair uses Worldspan as its global distribution system but has had a series of setbacks since its launch in April. From day one, the site crashed and has displayed information that there is a fault with the GDS.

But Worldspan senior director international marketing Tim Wright said there was nothing wrong with this side of the site.

He said: “Worldspan is the booking engine and the GDS works for everyone else. Deckchair was under a lot of pressure to launch the product and I think it could have spent some more time on the actual development.

“Now we are working to help sort it out.”

Deckchair was unavailable for comment.
