The Travel Network Group’s marketing team is to spend time in members’ stores as part of a new initiative.
The group is launching an Adopt a Store programme which will begin later this month and will see each of the new marketing team work in store for one-day a month.
Five stores will be involved in the trial of the scheme – Inspire Travel in Leicestershire; Liphook Travel in Hampshire; Heart Travel in Surrey; Triangle Travel in Richmond; and Dave Criddle Travel in the South West.
Si Prentice, group marketing director, said the aim of the scheme was to get the marketing team closer to the company’s members.
He said: “These stores will trial new initiatives and feedback on how members’ customers are reacting to new products and services, giving the marketing team a first-hand insight into new market developments and consumer trends.”
The group is also planning to run a series of webinars to provide members with additional information and skills.
The sessions will take place every Wednesday and feature an array of subjects such as online marketing and working with social media.
The webinars will be held mid-morning and in the evening.
