Travel Inn is to create an Internet site as the latest move in its £300m expansion plan, following its brand launch in April. Travel Inn says it polled 2,500 people to see what they would want from such a site, and created it accordingly. It will be bookable from December and will have real-time room availability.

P&O Australian Resorts plans to spend £6.4m on the refurbishment of its latest island resort acquisition Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef in north Queensland.
