Travel 2 has revamped its website following feedback from agents.
The agent homepage (agent login required) features new content to assist agents with promotion to their own clients.
It now includes a section providing agents with the top 10 airfares and hotel offers. In addition there are six destination icons linking to holiday offers, priced to cater for agents regionally.
Other improvements include a Twitter feed, direct links to hotel chains such as Universal, Jumeirah and Sandals resorts, an increased number of depositable fares, the ability to confirm ITX fares and an updated ‘tours’ page.
The long-haul tour operator said the new website would allow agents to browse more than 25,000 properties worldwide.
Gordon McCreadie, sales and marketing director for Travel 2, said: “The huge investment we’ve put into our new website is exciting news for all travel agents.
“The ease of navigation, huge selection of fares and increased ground content provides an online showcase for our vast array of holiday options and we’re confident that this upgrade to our site will make booking with Travel 2 even easier for our agents to help them sell with the utmost confidence.”
McCreadie said the company was already planning the next stages to develop the website further.
He added: “In developing the Travel 2 website refresh we researched the needs and wish lists of agents. The feedback demonstrated quite simply that users wanted more instant availability, more depositable fares at the best prices, and the inclusion of more content to assist with agents with promotions to their customers, specifically with regional pricing.”
