Sixt signs up to Amadeus' real-time product

Previously, agents would access the Amadeus Cars database which holds inventory that is submitted regularly by Sixt. However, information on this database had to be updated at various intervals, so it could not hold real-time information.

Cars Complete Access Plus also allows agents easier access to a wider range of rate information that resides in Sixt's own system.

Chairman Erich Sixt said: "This allows Sixt to provide travel agents around the world with easy-to-use yet detailed car-rental information. Using Complete Access Plus has the added advantage of reducing the resources and time needed by Sixt to maintain and update data in the Amadeus system."

SIXT Rent A Car has become the first car-hire company to sign up to Amadeus Cars' Complete Access Plus product.
