Magowan elected to TAC northwest post

ABTA northwest region secretary Stan Magowan has been elected onto the Travel Agents’ Council following the death last month of Graham Barber.

Magowan, from St Helens-based Ellison travel agency, was elected unopposed.

Barber, who owned Plan-It Travel in Stockport, died helping customers who had encountered problems boarding a flight.

He had been regional chairman from 1996 to 1998.
