Simon Cook has been recruited as UK, Channel Islands and Ireland sales manager for Air Berlin.
He succeeds Titus Johnson, who previously held the role for six years before moving to take the role of sales and marketing vice president for the German carrier in the US.
Cook has worked in the aviation sector for 12 years including roles at Luxair and Finnair.
Western Europe area manager Rogier de Jager said: “Simon is a very important addition to the Air Berlin team and promises to be a valuable asset to Air Berlin and the UK and Irish markets.
“He has extensive knowledge of the aviation industry and a proven track record of achieving results and exceeding financial targets in his previous roles.”
