Kuoni is to open stores in four Barrhead Travel shops in Scotland, with plans to open in more across the 36-strong Barrhead estate.
The operator chose to open implants within Barrhead stores rather than opening its own shops, as it has done in England alongside implants in John Lewis outlets.
The first four shops to feature Kuoni stores will be the Oswald Street Superstore, East Kilbride, Cumbrnauld and Aberdeen.
Bill Munro, chairman of Barrhead Travel, said: “I am delighted to be able to welcome Kuoni to our stores in Scotland. We have had an excellent relationship with Kuoni in the past and we really think the decision they have made to position themselves in our stores is the right one.
“I believe it will really enhance our offering to the travelling public as Kuoni is such an exclusive brand not sold through all agents in Scotland.”
He added: “We are known for being able to offer our customers the best holidays at the best value, especially with this luxury brand in partnership.
“It will allow us not only to sell brochured Kuoni holidays but also tailor-make holidays for customers with Kuoni ground arrangements. That way we can offer customers great value while retaining the level of quality that customers booking holidays of this calibre expect.”
