Club Med appoints head of sales for UK and Scandinavia

Club Med has appointed Clarisse Chapolard head of sales for the UK and Scandinavia, with a remit of driving trade sales.

She moved from her position as head of MICE for the same region last week, and replaces Armand Guillemot, who held the position for almost three years.

Chapolard will lead the trade and MICE teams for Club Med in the UK and Scandinavia, with six diret reports.

She will be responsible for fostering and growing existing relationships with Club Med’s trade partners, and driving indirect sales for the premium all-inclusive travel brand.

Chapolard first joined Club Med in 2016 and has previously held sales roles dealing with the UK, Nordics and Irish markets.

She said: “I am delighted to start a new chapter and role within the Club Med business, having developed my understanding of the sector over the past four years.

“Even in these turbulent times, Club Med continues to build on its ever-growing portfolio of new resorts on an annual basis, as well as regular renovations of existing properties to ensure we are providing the upmost premium experience that our customers have come to expect.”

Estelle Giraudeau, managing director of Club Med UK and Northern Europe, said: “At Club Med, we pride ourselves on our excellent relationships with our trade partners and we are excited for Clarisse to step into this role to further develop this side of the business.

“We are continually thankful for all the hard work and support from our trade agent partners during this challenging time for the travel industry. We are looking forward to reinforcing our collaboration and we are already incredibly encouraged by the resilience of our partners to help make this year an exciting rebound for the brand, while also looking ahead to 2022 and beyond.”
