The Hoseasons Group has reported a 1.5% increase in bookings increase across its portfolio in 2011.
The group, part of the Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, includes the brands Hoseasons, Cottages4you and English Country Cottages.
Managing director Geoff Cowley called 2011 “another good year in a challenging landscape” with almost 2.3 million customers going on holiday with the group’s UK focused brands last year.
Cowley said: “Over the last four years we’ve seen steady growth for the group and have doubled in size following the Hoseaons and James Villa Holidays acquisitions. In 2011, we’ve seen our three biggest brands Cottages4you, James Villa Holidays and Hoseasons, all consolidate their position as market leaders in the cottages, park and lodge, and villa marketplace.”
Cowley said the group had witnessed a continued shift in demand for last-minute bookings and short breaks as well as growth in its budget cottages brand easycottages.com, suggesting consumers were focused on value for money breaks.
