Santa’s Lapland offers deserving agents Santa video calls

Santa’s Lapland is hoping to spread some festive cheer by giving five travel agents and their families a 15-minute video call with Santa.

The Hotelplan UK-owned tour operator is offering the live calls in lieu of its Christmas Lapland programme this year, which has been cancelled as a result of Cvoid-19.

It includes an Elf leading the family through the snow and a close-up with reindeer before going live to Santa’s Cabin.

Santa’s Lapland is asking the travel trade to nominate agent friends or colleagues who have been affected by Covid-19 this year and may need some added Christmas cheer, with five spots video calls with Santa on offer to the most deserving.

Julie Franklin, Santa’s Lapland head of agency sales, said: “We have worked relentlessly and so hard as an industry for months with very little reward. I’ve spoken to so many of my agent friends who have really struggled in various ways, so this is our chance to put a smile on five of our travel agents’ faces. It’s a little gift from us and their nominees to show them how much they mean to us.”

Nominations, in no more than 50 words explaining who should receive the prize and why, can be sent to agency.sales@hotelplan.co.uk with ‘Santa Live’ in the subject line by Monday December 7.
