Youhotels expands 2012 Greece portfolio

Bedbank has added properties on 10 Greek islands as well as introducing 21 hotels in and around Athens.

The expansion in Greece for 2012 comes on the back of a claimed rise of more than 50% in bookings levels to the country.

The enlarged portfolio sees properties added in Rhodes, Kos, Crete, Corfu, Zante, Kefalonia, Halkidiki, Mykonos, Santorini and Lesvos.

They range from two-star self-catering at the Boheme Apartments in Kos to five-star star all-inclusive, such as Nautica Blue in Rhodes, exclusive to in the UK.

Managing director Matt Cheevers said: “Greece is always a popular destination for us Brits, with the frequency of flights making the region so accessible from across the UK.

“It’s a region we are famous for and we are constantly reviewing our portfolio to meet demands. We’re expecting a good year in 2012, and our booking figures for the year to date are 53% up year on year for the same period in 2011.

“As well as increasing hotels on the popular islands of Rhodes and Kos, we’ve introduced properties on the western side of Crete and added in more budget properties in Halkidiki.

“We’re also really excited to add a group of hotels in the Attica region. This encompasses 21 hotels located in Athens city and the surrounding resorts, such as Glyfada and Vravrona Bay.”
