Club Med reports Turks & Caicos website traffic spike

Club Med has seen booking enquiries spike by a third for its resort in the Turks & Caicos after the Caribbean destination was added to the UK’s safe travel corridors list.

Page views for the Turkoise adults-only resort rose by 63%

The all inclusive operator reported a 78% rise in website page views on its destination page for the islands since the announcement on Thursday evening.

Lockdown in England until December 2 prevents all but business travel.

However, interest is being generated for travel to the Caribbean in the new year.

Club Med UK & Northern Europe managing director Estelle Giraudeau said: “It is clear to see there is the demand for long-haul travel, and we first saw this following the addition of The Maldives to the UK travel corridor list.

“The Caribbean has always been a longstanding favourite with our British customers and we are confident with the recent announcement that many will be able to travel to Turks & Caicos with peace of mind.

“February and April are proving to be the most popular months for visitors to our Turkoise resort and we are hopeful for more bookings in the coming weeks and months.”
