Carnival UK chief executive David Dingle has been appointed chairman of the British Travel and Hospitality Industry's Hall of Fame.
Dingle, who has been a member since 2009, said: “I am both delighted and honoured to have been asked to be the new chairman of the Hall of Fame and I look forward to continuing the good work that has been achieved over the years.
"The Hall of Fame is a very important part of the travel and hospitality sector, with many outstanding members all of whom have made a significant contribution to the travel and tourism sector. It is a wonderful event and I am very proud to be a part of it.”
Since the event was launched in 1995, eighty senior travel leaders from the UK and overseas have been honoured.
The dinner will take place at The Savoy in London on April 17.
