Flight Centre UK releases video homage to travel

A video ‘love letter’ to the travel industry has been produced by Flight Centre UK to encourage trip planning in the wake of Covid-19.

The Dear Travel film coincides with research of more than 7,000 customers showing that 80% of people plan to travelling abroad within the next year following months of lockdown.

However, while desire to travel is high, the data also shows that more than half of people (62%) are nervous or worried about booking a holiday.

Flight Centre revealed in July that it is considering replacing some of its shops with a virtual network of travel consultants and an ‘associates’ model.

The visual love letter, developed by Flight Centre UK’s marketing team, is designed to get people into the mindset of planning their next trip.

It comes as the agency seeks to stimulate demand by offering low deposits of £49 per booking, no change fees for amendments travel insurance covering coronavirus.

Head of marketing Yvonne Hobden said: “We truly are a country of travel lovers and Flight Centre is proud to be able to offer lower deposits than ever, as well as flexi-travel, to spark our customers’ wanderlust and get us planning our next well-deserved holiday as soon as is safe.”
