Emerald Waterways opens 2022 bookings in response to agent demand

Emerald Waterways is now taking bookings for 2022 in response to increasing demand from agents to book longer term future dates.

The cruise line, which has a ‘cruise with confidence’ health and safety policy in place, is offering savings of up to £1,000 per couple to mark the opening up 2022 dates around two months earlier than planned. Itineraries would usually go on sale in late November or early December.

It is also offering a complimentary Premium Drinks Package, entitling guests to unlimited on board dinks when booking before October 31, 2020.

An extra early payment discount of £125 per person will also apply to new bookings paid in full by October 31, 2021. Prices include return flights, transfers, tips, on board meals and insightful excursions and experiences.

Joseph Grimley, director of trade sales, said: “Interest in future dates continue to rise, with many agents requesting to book for 2022 and beyond.

“Bringing the product to market early allows agents to provide their customers with not only their first choice of sailing, date and cabin but also total flexibility.

“Alongside our Cruise with Confidence assurance that focuses on our guests wellbeing and safety, these long-term date releases will allow our valued agent partners to book their clients holidays with confidence.”

Itineraries on sale for 2022 include the eight-day Secrets of the Douro river cruise in Portugal on the Emerald Radiance Star-Ship, which includes a cooking demonstration and port lesson on board and costs from £1,920.

Also new is the eight-day Legendary Rhine & Moselle cruise from Mainz to Bernkastel from £2,020 on Emerald Star-Ship and the eight-day Holland & Belgium in Bloom itinerary, which includes Keukenhof Gardens, from £1,970 on Emerald Destiny Star-Ship.
