Qatar Airways to increase Manchester services

Qatar Airways is increasing its flights between Manchester and its hub in Doha from next month.

The airline will operate 17 flights per week between Manchester airport and Qatar from October 15.

The service increase is part of Qatar Airways’ larger expansion of its programme, with Manchester among 13 destinations to which it is resuming or increasing frequencies.

Its network, which did not fall below 30 destinations throughout the Covid crisis, will surpass 90 destinations by the end of October.

Group chief executive Akbar Al Baker said: “Our focus throughout the rebuild of our network is not only on restarting destinations but also operating as many frequencies as possible to provide our passengers the flexibility to travel when they want.

“By continuing to fly during the pandemic while others stopped, we have gained the trust of passengers as an airline they can rely on. There are still millions of people who have not been able to be reunited with their friends and families and it is heartwarming to know our growing network will provide them an opportunity to travel home or take a trip to see loved ones.”
