Discova appoints new BDM for UK and Europe

Destination management company Discova has appointed Tom Grapes as business development manager for the UK and Europe.

Grapes will start his new role from September 7, having previously worked for Tui-owned youth operators i to I Volunteering and Real Gap, and most recently for Flight Centre Travel Group, where he was Asia product manager.

Discova currently operates in 14 countries in Asia, as well as Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. In March, the DMC appointed former Intrepid head of industry sales Andrew Turner as global director of sales.

Turner said: “We are thrilled to have Tom and his wealth of experience joining our team during a period of such transformation for the industry. Tom will be a great asset to Discova’s partners as we a recover from the global downturn in travel and long into the future.”

Grapes added: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Discova team to help move the business forward into a new chapter, overcome some of the challenges in front of the industry right now and work together with partners on how our unique approach can benefit their customers and their businesses into the future.”
