Tradewind Voyages releases website ahead of 2021 UK debut

Start-up line Tradewind Voyages has developed a website introducing its first year’s voyages on square-rigged sailing ship Golden Horizon.

Tradewindvoyages.com claims to offer ‘an adventure like no other’ and a ‘true maritime experience’ that sets it apart from other cruise companies.

An agent booking area will be available on the site in autumn.

Images show Golden Horizon as a traditional sailing vessel offering the luxury and facilities that holidaymakers would expect on a boutique cruise ship. Deck plans and cabin facilities are also available.

Users of the site will find a detailed breakdown of itineraries which see Golden Horizon run a debut season in the UK from May 2021, before heading east in August.

The ship will visit destinations such as the Indian Ocean, Sydney and the Cocos Islands on sustainable voyages that use the wind and currents to follow the sun.

Tradewind Voyages will offer a combination of local and traditional dishes, with the website highlighting a philosophy of ‘Eat Well, Be Well’.

Head of marketing and distribution Amanda Norey said: “We are thrilled with the website. It captures what Tradewind Voyages is all about and no-one will be left in any doubt that we are very different from anything else on the market.

“Agents will soon be able to book on the site and the feedback from them has been overwhelmingly positive.”

The Suffolk-based line has worked closely with local companies to grow during the pandemic.

The website was created with the help of Ipswich-based marketing agency StrategiQ, who were tasked with creating the right look for Tradewind Voyages.

“Our goal was to develop a brand that emotionally connects the audience with the voyage experience, while considering the history and grandeur of the ship,” said StrategiQ head of creative Ashley Thrower.

“The result is a clear and consistent positioning for Tradewind Voyages that helps travellers buy into the brand.”

Meanwhile, local musician Jack Culpin and his cousin James Waymont composed ‘The Ocean’s Journey’, the track that can be heard on the home page and that guests will hear when Golden Horizon sails out of ports.

Tradewind Voyages recently joined Clia as a UK, Ireland and European ocean cruise line member.
