Lastminute.com president Ed Kamm is to leave the online retailer after less than a year in the post.
Travelocity Global has announced Kamm will be succeeded by Matthew Crummack, formerly senior vice president of Expedia.
Kamm was appointed in November 2010 after it was announced that Ian McCaig was leaving after five years at the helm of lastminute.com. A spokesman said Kamm would be officially leaving in a few weeks while Crummack will start in the role this week.
“After 17 years with Sabre, Travelocity and lastminute.com I have decided that I’m ready to continue my career outside the group but leave confident in the knowledge that the business is in good shape and poised to do well in future with the appointment of Matthew Crummack,” Kamm said.
During his short tenure Kamm oversaw a repositioning of the Lastminute brand and its first European-wide advertising campaign. The retailer sought to portray itself as more than just a travel retailer under the strapline “The Story Starts Here”.

Crummack said: “lastminute.com is one of the most recognized brands in Europe, with a proud history of innovation, outstanding talent and enviable positions in many of its product lines and services. It’s a great honour to join its leadership team and have the opportunity to build on its success.”
Crummack oversaw the move of Expedia’s lodging business from the US to Geneva in Switzerland and managed the integration of Venere into Expedia following its acquisition.
Prior to Expedia he was global business development director for Nestle UK, and started his career in sales and marketing in the UK and Europe with Procter & Gamble.
