Butlin’s extends closure of resorts

Butlin’s has confirmed an extension of closures until July 23 as it awaits further government clarification on facilities such as swimming pools and live entertainment.

All Live Music Weekenders during September have also been axed due to current social distancing regulations.

A Butlin’s spokesperson said: “For those guests that have breaks booked after the 23rd July, we know this is an unsettling time.

“We’d like to assure them that we continue to have discussions around opening very soon and are exploring different ways to bring guests the Butlin’s experience we know they are looking forward to.

“We will provide all guests with a minimum of 14 days notice if there are any changes to their break and of course they also have the option of our coronavirus book with confidence which allows them to move their break or request a full refund between three and 28 days prior to the arrival date.

“We will be providing an update as soon as we can on the steps we are taking on family breaks to make sure that our guests are safe and secure on resort.

“Any guests booked on a live music weekend beyond September, we ask them not to contact us yet – please rest assured that your money is protected and we will be in touch nearer the time should any changes occur.”
