Agents help Wendy Wu Tours raise £3k in 2.6 Challenge

Dozens of travel agents joined Wendy Wu Tours and raised nearly £3,000 for charity in The 2.6 Challenge on Sunday.

The event was held on the day the London Marathon was due to take place and aimed to help charities that would have benefited from the world’s largest single fundraising event.

Participants were asked to complete an activity themed around the numbers 26 or 2.6 for a charity of their choice, with the majority of those joining Wendy Wu Tours choosing to raise money for the NHS.

Wendy Wu sales director John Warr took part and completed a 26k cycle and a 26k walk.

He said: “Wendy Wu staff, agents, my neighbours and family and friends took part in a number of activities and gave people a chance to switch off for a moment.

“I think we were able to replicate in a small way the spirit of the fund raisers on London marathon today, where everybody has their own stories to tell, and we raised a total of £2,294 for the NHS, Mind and the Alzheimer’s Society.”
