Cosmos offers new online tools for travel agents

Cosmos and its sister brands Globus and Avalon Waterways have launched a new travel agent portal and online tools to help agencies.

As well as the portal, there is a new training programme and extra incentives.

Janet Parton (pictured), director of sales at Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterways, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for us and the travel agents who sell our fantastic range of tours and cruises. We’ve just made it even easier to do business with us.”

The new portal enables agents to check live availability for tours as well as identify guaranteed tour dates for customers.

The new ability to hold options on tours and cruises means agents can reserve a customer’s trip with any of the three brands for 72 hours.

Marketing materials, imagery and campaign information will be available for agents to access easily on the new portal.

To help with training, agents can now join the Globus Family of Brands University (GFOBU), an online platform with modules designed to make selling the brands easier.

Those who complete the full training course by May 31 will be entered into a draw to win a £500 voucher.

Furthermore, agents can now earn up to 100% discounts for them and a partner on any Cosmos, Globus or Avalon Waterways holiday once a minimum of four passengers have been booked and travelled from the travel agency. Discounts start at 25%.

Also new is a client communication programme that sends emails on the agents’ behalf, branded with the agency logo and contact details, providing updates ahead of departure.

Copies of all communications are also sent to the agent so they can follow their customers’ booking experience.
