Fusion Cruises hosts 550 customers at first cruise show

Fusion Cruises hosted more than 550 people at the agency’s first cruise show, featuring representatives from 20 lines.

Customers were invited to take part in interactive seminars throughout the day after enjoying breakfast at Fontwell Park Racecourse in west Sussex.

Director Harry Lightfoot said: “For the first cruise show we decided to go local because we knew there were avid cruisers in the area, but no one was getting the message out there.”

Lightfoot said the agency business hopes to generate more than £125,000 in sales revenue from the event last weekend.

Strategy director Si Morris-Green said: “This event has demonstrated that our consumer engagement strategy which we launched in September last year is gathering momentum.

“We’re delighted to attract the high number of guests at our first show. The day was a roaring success.”

Since September, the business has recruited four staff, including Rochelle Bradley, former co-founder and commercial manager of Cruise2.

The seven-person team is planning at least one more cruise show by 2021 and a series of customer supper clubs in partnership with cruise line partners.
