Holiday parks operator pumps £1.2m into accommodation

UK holiday partks operator Verdant Leisure is injecting £1.2 million into its holiday accommodation ahead of the summer.

The investment in new accommodation is set to meet rising demand from new customers at its north of England and Scottish sites.

The company offers caravans and lodges at nine locations equipped with gas central heating and double glazing “to ensure maximum comfort” during stays.

Dumfries and Galloway-based Queensberry Bay Leisure Park joined the portfolio last year while a new cafe bar is due to open at Queensberry Bay Leisure Park in 2020, subject to planning approval.

This followed a claimed 30% rise holiday sales in advance direct bookings in 2019.
