Olympic Holidays’ TV ad focuses on island-hopping

Olympic Holidays has doubled down on its island specialist message in its first terrestrial TV advert.

The tour operator’s turn-of-year advertising campaign launched on December 30 with its Welcome to our Islands advert on TV and online, which champions its island-hopping itineraries and brochures.

It encourages viewers to “try and island-hopping adventure”… “when one just isn’t enough”.

The advert is Olympic’s first major TV campaign. Previous TV campaigns did not run across all multiple terrestrial channels.

Olympic’ range includes more than 20 new island-hopping itineraries, from two and three-island hops to two-centre stays in Crete and Cyprus.

Managing director Michael Vinales said: “The campaign will demonstrate the pleasure of the discovery and immersion into the Greek way of life.

“The Greek islands have it all – sun, sea and secret coves, party beaches, great cuisine from meze to fine dining, excellent wines, walking and bike trails, wildlife, history, and, of course, wonderful hospitality.

“Our customers can choose their dates and destinations, pace and style of holiday, from carefree apartments to ultra-luxe adults-only resorts, and we will take care of the rest.”

Island-hopping holidays include Kos, Rhodes & Symi, Santorini, Naxos & Mykonos, Crete, Paros & Santorini, and Skiathos, Skopelos & Alonnisos while island swapping options include Rhodes & Karpathos, Kos & Kalymnos and Corfu & Paxos.

TV advertising will feature on a range of channels throughout January and February and Olympic reiterated its stance of price parity for agents.

The operator is offering agents making island-hopping bookings between December 26, 2019, and February 4, 2020, £50 Love2shop vouchers, and £25 Love2shop vouchers for other package bookings.
