Exodus adds new Italy, Lapland, Peru and Romania tours

Exodus Travels has launched 29 new escorted tours for 2020, hot on the heels of the 22 tours in its recently launched Exodus Edits collection.

The additions are featured across the operator’s portfolio of five brochures: Discovery & Wildlife, Cycling Adventures, Walking & Trekking, Family Adventures, and Winter Adventures.

Andy Ross, head of product, said: “Whether it’s cross-country skiing in Finland, walking the Cote d’Azur or visiting Dracula’s Castle in Romania, we understand that what is an adventure for one person may mean something very different to someone else.

“We have worked hard to ensure that within our comprehensive collection of tours, there is an adventure to suit everyone.”

New tours include the Prosecco Hills Long Weekend three-night holiday in Italy.

Exodus Travels introduced the short break as it has seen its bookings to the region rise by 59% year-on-year, while sales of shorter trips are up 70%.

The four-day walking break includes a visit to a local producer for a wine tasting as well as a trip to Asolo, considered one of the most picturesque Italian villages.

It costs from £899 including flights, breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners and wine tasting.

Another growth area is Lapland, so the new Lapland Wilderness Week holiday taps into this trend, offering an opportunity to see the Northern Lights, and a trek on forest skis with an overnight stay in a remote forest cabin.

The seven-night holiday costs from £1,999 including flights, transfers and accommodation.

Cycle Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador takes in lakes, volcanoes, Unesco-listed ruins and scenery from the Pacific to the Caribbean.

The 17-day holiday costs from £3,749 including flights, transfers and accommodation.

The 11-day Moonstone Trek holiday in Peru follows an alternative Inca trail, through seldom‐visited Andean villages, Inca and pre‐Inca ruins.

It costs from £2,149 including flights, transfers and hotel and camping accommodation.

With the launch of new BBC One drama, Dracula, on New Year’s Day, Exodus Travels is predicting a rise in demand for holidays to Romania.

Its new Highlights of Romania tour combines the city of Cluj with the Maramures region in the north of the country.

Guests will visit Transylvania, including a tour of Bran Castle, better known as Dracula’s Castle.

The nine-night tour starts from £1,599 including flights, transfers and accommodation.
