‘Panto Express’ hosts 15-minute version of Cinderella

A 15-minute pantomime performance was staged for passengers on a train between London and Heathrow.

The Natural Theatre Company production of Cinderella had been specially scripted to last just 15 minutes – the duration of the Heathrow Express journey between Paddington station and Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3.

Prince Charming ran the aisles of a carriage in search of travellers to try on the famous glass slipper as part of the show.

Meanwhile, Cinderella was trying to get her ticket to the ball stamped by the on-board team.

Heathrow Express director Les Freer said: “Christmas is fast approaching so we’re well into panto season and we wanted to share some of that festive cheer on board with the ‘Panto Express’.

“Cinderella is a family favourite, but this is probably the first time it’s been performed at 100 miles per hour on a train in just 15 minutes.”
