Elite Travel Group recruits new business development manager

The Elite Travel Group has appointed Abigail Shelton as business development manager to help build sales for members.

She will be working closely with members, offering sales support for agencies selling products from suppliers which work closely with the consortium.

Shelton will also aim to recruit new agencies and homeworkers to join Elite.

Her career started at Pan Am and United Airlines, and she has also held business development roles at car hire firms Autobookers, Affordable Car Hire and Purple Car Hire, and then at Millington Travel.

She joins Elite from her role as retail consumer developer at Dior.

John Escott, general manager at the Elite Travel Group, said: “We are delighted that Abigail is joining to strengthen the team here at the Elite Travel Group and will help us develop an even closer relationship with our current and future members.”

The consortium will hold its annual conference in Paphos, Cyprus, later this month (November 29-December 2).

It currently has 48 members and 24 homeworkers.
