Villa Select expands portfolio following takeover

Villa Select has grown its property portfolio by 50% in less than six months following a change of ownership from ITC Travel Group.

The specialist villa holiday operator was acquired by Stewart Travel owner Brooklyn Travel Holdings earlier this year.

Villa Select is the second major purchase by Brooklyn, the company set up last year at the time of the management buy-out of Glasgow-based Stewart Travel.

The villa operator’s online booking capability has been opened up to travel agents who registaer with their details in a move to strengthen ties with the travel trade.

Booking deposits have been permanently reduced from 30% to 20%, with a 10% offer available until November 30.

A new brochure for 2020 is due to be published in December showcasing many new properties.

The company’s website has also been overhauled and updated to make it easier to navigate and more user friendly.

Brooklyn CEO Duncan Wilson said: “I said when we took over the firm that we have very ambitious plans to grow and develop Villa Select in a very short period of time, significantly increasing the already impressive property portfolio at the company’s disposal. That promise has been fulfilled.

“Villa Select is a terrific company with a loyal customer base which we plan to build and grow. We believe this company has unlimited potential.”

Becci Aldridge, general manager of the company estbalished in 1983 and based in Alcester, Warwickshire, said: “The change of ownership has opened up new horizons for the company which is going from strength to strength.”
