Travel 2’s US range is all shook up with Elvis and more

Travel 2 is capitalising on strong growth in the touring sector with more options in the southern states of the US for 2020.

The trade-only operator has seen the number of bookings for escorted and small group touring increase by 35% year-on-year during 2019, while the number of bookings for tours starting and ending in Las Vegas rose by 114% year-on-year.

Its latest 2019-2020 USA & Canada brochure has 12 new tours, 45 new hotels and three new destinations in Louisiana: Lafayette, Darrow and Baton Rouge.

One new excursion is the Elvis Experience Tour in Memphis, while one of the new hotels is NoMad Las Vegas, on the top four floors of the new Park MGM.

A three-night break staying at the four-star The Guest House at Graceland in Memphis on a room-only basis costs from £759.

It includes flights with American Airlines from Heathrow plus the Elvis Experience which features an audio-guided tour of Graceland Mansion and visits to see exhibits of the star’s cars and aircraft and Elvis: The Entertainer Career Showcase Museum.

The Elvis Experience tour on its own costs £62 and lasts for up to four hours.

Florida is another key destination featured in the brochure, and a seven-night holiday at the Rosen Inn Pointe in Orlando, departing May 4, 2020, starts at £479 including flights.

Agents who make a booking from the new USA & Canada brochure between October 21 and November 18 can enter a competition to win one of five Virgin Experience Days vouchers, worth £50 each.
